Aldein is a nice mountain village, very good situated for people who like to do trekking tours and
go for a walk as well as for skiers and nature loving people.
On the same time Aldein gives you an ideal possibility for doing roundtrips and tours throughout the north of Italy.
For saying it all in one: There's something interesting for everybody.
With its mild climate and the 250 sunny days a year, Aldein guarantees a great vacation.
Lots of wandering tours that start from the centre of the village will let you discover the beauty of nature Aldein has to offer.
You will be amazed by the great variety of sceneries you'll get to know.
Other attractions to mention are for example the Mill-Museum and the Sacral Museum. The most well known attraction however is the "Bletterbach", the socalled South Tyrolean "Grand Cannon".
With its geological treasures and the wide variety of types of landscape it shows the development of earth from a different, unusual perspective. It's very interesting for geologists as well as for people who just enjoy walking in a fantastic environment.
For those who don't like to do trekking that much we have a nice alternative: you can go swimming in our Natural lake, the socalled "Göllersee", or in the Lake of Caldaro (Kalterer See). There you can enjoy lying in the sun and relax.
In the wintertime the skiing areas, like Obereggen/Latemar, Predazzo and Cermis are easily to reach;
there are shuttle busses, that start in Petersberg (the neighbour village) and bring you right to the Skicenter Latemar.
In Aldein you can go sledging and cross country skiing.
